Clean Ambassadors

Downtown Atlanta, Inc.’s Clean & Maintenance Ambassadors work every day to keep Downtown Atlanta clean, safe, and welcoming. Our team provides litter abatement, trash collection, sidewalk vacuuming, graffiti removal, and pressure washing services to ensure Downtown remains vibrant and inviting for residents, workers, and visitors alike.

Through our partnership with Gibbs Landscaping, we enhance the public realm with seasonal plantings, curbside planters, hanging flower baskets, and beautified landscapes along key downtown corridors. We also help preserve and strengthen Downtown’s urban tree canopy through an annual maintenance agreement with Trees Atlanta, which provides mulching, replanting, and ongoing care to promote the health and longevity of our trees.

In addition to maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of Downtown, we identify, report, and track deficiencies within the public right-of-way, including streetlight and traffic signal outages, potholes, sidewalk damage, and other safety hazards. Working closely with City departments, utility providers, and private property owners, we help expedite repairs and minimize disruptions to the public.

Through the ADID Clean Team, Downtown’s sidewalks, streetscapes, and public plazas receive daily cleaning services, including vacuuming, pressure washing, graffiti removal, and litter collection, helping ensure Downtown Atlanta remains a clean, attractive, and welcoming destination for all.

Supporting a Vibrant Neighborhood

Support for neighborhood vitality includes ongoing partnerships and initiatives that strengthen community spaces and civic engagement across Downtown Atlanta. This work is reflected in support of the Five Points Garden, contributions to the Daffodil Project, and the facilitation of Lift Up Downtown Community Service Days. Together, these efforts enhance neighborhood stewardship, promote civic pride, and help maintain clean, safe, and welcoming public spaces for residents, workers, and visitors.

Our teams provide ongoing support by assisting with daily access to water and helping maintain tool and equipment storage needs.
Daffodil Project
Which aspires to create a worldwide Living Holocaust Memorial through the planting of 1.5 million daffodils in memory of the children who perished in the Holocaust, as well as in solidarity with children impacted by humanitarian crises around the world. Through this annual partnership, Downtown Atlanta hosts the largest daffodil planting site in the world.
Lift Up Downtown
Community Service Days in partnership with The Chad Livesy Project is a quarterly service initiative that brings together residents, businesses, and downtown enthusiasts to improve Downtown Atlanta through hands-on activities such as cleaning, planting, painting and litter mitigation.
