Artist Sarah Lawrence transformed the intersection of Andrew Young International Boulevard and Peachtree Street into a tribute to the people, places, and moments that shaped Downtown Atlanta.

Earlier this year, we took several important steps toward making The Stitch vision a reality with the formation of Stitch Inc, the appointment of its inaugural Board of Directors, and the execution of agreements with the City of Atlanta and Invest Atlanta to implement the Stitch Master Plan. These are all major, key steps in moving The Stitch from vision to reality.

Beyond the skyline lies a city full of stories waiting to be discovered. Explore Downtown Atlanta's modern renaissance through a self-guided walking tour featuring public art, iconic landmarks, and the people and places that continue to shape the heart of the city.

The highlight of "Lighting the Way to The Stitch" event was the unveiling of "What We Weave," the first public art installation associated with The Stitch. Created by Atlanta artist Eddie Farr, the installation invited visitors to experience the power of connection through light, color, sound, and shared space.
But the event was about much more than art.

With FIFA World Cup bringing visitors from around the globe to Downtown Atlanta, there's never been a better time to explore the stories hidden between the city's landmarks.

Led by Downtown Atlanta Inc.'s Art + Activation team, in collaboration with Kindred Lane, the Downtown Native Plant & Wellness initiative is creating a connected network of pocket gardens throughout Atlanta's urban core.

On Wednesday, May 14, during National Police Week, the downtown community gathered in Woodruff Park for the annual Law Enforcement Appreciation and Memorial Service.

A partnership built on results is growing its impact. Downtown Atlanta Inc. and United Way of Greater Atlanta are expanding their work to connect more Downtown neighbors with the resources and support they need to build greater economic stability.

Arts & Entertainment Atlanta (A&E Atlanta) is pleased to announce the recipients of its fourth grant cycle.
