Atlanta Downtown Stitch, Inc. Expands their Leadership Team

Atlanta Downtown Stitch, Inc. (Stitch, Inc.) has added two experienced Atlanta leaders to its team as The Stitch moves closer to becoming a reality. Caroline Ballard Leake joins as Vice President of Communications and Development, while Lee Harrop will serve as Vice President of Design and Delivery.
The appointments come at an important moment for the once-in-a-generation park and infrastructure project as it advances toward shovel-ready status in 2027. Together, Leake and Harrop bring deep experience in major civic projects, economic development, partnerships and community engagement, strengthening Stitch, Inc.’s capacity to move the project from planning into delivery.
The additions come at a pivotal moment for The Stitch as the project advances toward shovel-ready status in 2027. Phase One will include a five-acre park over the Downtown Connector alongside eight miles of streetscape and transportation improvements, reconnecting parts of Atlanta’s urban core that have been divided by the interstate for generations.
With growing public and private support, Stitch, Inc. is building the team, partnerships and resources needed to move The Stitch from an ambitious vision to a new public space at the heart of Atlanta.
