Downtown Day Returns October 28!

Clear your calendar, text your friends, and make a day of it. Downtown Day is back on Wednesday, October 28, 2026!

Last year, our inaugural Downtown Day brought people together for live music, public art, local business specials, and a whole lot of neighborhood love. This year, we’re doing it again, and we want you to be part of it.

Downtown Day celebrates the people, places, and experiences that make the heart of Atlanta so special. Whether you live here, work here, or need an excuse to come explore, consider this your invitation.

Noon: Broad Street Boardwalk Lunchtime Party

Your lunch break deserves a little upgrade! Grab something delicious from a Broad Street restaurant and join us outside for a DJ, dancing inflatables, live mural painting, and a dancing roller skater. Yes, you read that correctly.

Bring your coworkers, strike a pose in the photo booth and take home a keepsake.

4–6:30 PM: Celebrating 30 Years of Our Downtown Ambassadors

South Downtown Founders Park

For 30 years, our Downtown Ambassadors have helped keep the neighborhood clean, safe, and served. Now, it’s our turn to celebrate them.

Join us in South Downtown to meet the Ambassadors, enjoy a DJ, browse a vendor pop-up market, and take advantage of drink and dining specials. We’ll recognize the team with a Downtown Ambassador’s Day proclamation, and you can help decorate their bicycles for a pop-up parade!

Come take a photo, say thank you, and give this incredible team the celebration they deserve.

Make a Day of It

Between the lunchtime dancing and the afternoon celebration, there’s a whole neighborhood to enjoy. Pop into a shop you’ve been meaning to visit. Find a new favorite coffee spot. Take a public art detour. Bring a friend to dinner.
