Experience the original superhero blockbuster directed by Richard Donner from Mario Puzo’s screenplay presenting the “Superman” origin story in three acts at Krypton, rural Smallville, Kans., and Metropolis, home of the Daily Planet and the villainous Lex Luthor. Starring Christopher Reeve and a who’s who costar list including Marlon Brando, Gene Hackman, Terence Stamp, Margot Kidder, Ned Beatty, Susannah York, Glenn Ford, Jackie Cooper, Valerie Perrine and Trevor Howard, this 1978 classic features an Oscar nominated score by John Williams and award-winning pre-CGI effects that proved true the marketing tagline: You’ll Believe a Man Can Fly. Presented with the Rialto’s recently upgraded digital projector, screen and sound system.
